A crew of college-age boys takes Darius Weems, a teen with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), cross-country in an RV in hopes of convincing MTV’s Pimp My Ride to customize his wheelchair. In the summer of 2005, the all-male gang rents an RV and takes Darius, who has never seen mountains, the ocean, or even crossed a state line, on the adventure of a lifetime. In addition to their ultimate goal of MTV, the group raises awareness to wheelchair accessibility in America as well as to DMD.
