Navy lawyers defend two Marines accused of killing a private at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and find themselves in for more than they bargained. Lieutenant Kaffee is hired by the armed forces as a weak defense attorney, and at first, he is only too happy to oblige and go for a plea-bargain for his clients.
