The original urban teacher drama, Blackboard Jungle follows the story of soldier-turned-teacher Richard Dadier, who takes a job at a boys’ high school in the South Bronx. Before his arrival, the school is ruled by a band of thugs, led by Vic Morrow, who do as they please, while petrified teachers turn a blind eye. All that changes with the arrival or Dadier, whose brand of tough-love proves just what the school needs.
