Joseph Merrick, a.k.a. “The Elephant Man”, was born hideously disfigured. His early life was spent as a sideshow freak. It was in this lowly state that he was discovered by Dr. Treves, who studies his unique condition and discovers there is more to Merrick then meets the eye. Beneath his grotesque frame there lies an intelligent and contemplative man.
