Adam is a young boy who spends a night in a wondrous mansion owned by an elderly man. As Adam explores the home with his stuffed bear, he finds a hidden room that holds a large blood-red jewel. The old man appears suddenly and admonishes him to stay out of the room. Later that night, Adam sneaks back into the room, but accidentally breaks the jewel, incurring the wrath of the old man.
