Hawkeye was adopted by the Mohican tribe as a young boy and now only he, his brother, and his father remain to carry on the Mohican bloodline. English and French battles in colonial America ravage through the country and force the native Indian tribes in the area to choose sides. Hawkeye encounters the daughter of an English general and is immediately taken by her. Cora soon feels the same way and their love grows strong as they struggle to survive the horrible atrocities of war.
