Calvin is 10 years old and has a younger sister that is 7 years old named Lily. Their parents are going through a divorce, but the only problem is that Lily does not recognize this. At first, she escapes into her imagination and tries to build a time machine to go back to what she believed was a better time. Calvin eventually helps Lily realize that it was not a better time, and in fact, was filled with sadness that she simply missed by nature of being a young child. After this realization, Lily and Calvin accept their parents’ situation but end up questioning their own happiness.
